7th Grade Fun

In Outdoor Education, Mr. Terlip's seventh grade class recently went through a hunting safety class. To learn more about hunting safety, they went on a field trip to a wildlife refuge. They went to shoot bows and arrows, sporting clays, and muzzle loaders.

Students Participate In D.A.R.E.

This past month the fifth graders at St. Paul Elementary participated in the D.A.R.E program. D.A.R.E. stands for Define, Access, Respond, and Evaluate, and is a program to teach kids how to resists drugs and alcohol, and how to say no. Each week Janet Maher, an officer of Neosho County, came to the fifth grade classroom and taught the kids these valuable skills.

Third-graders Bring History to Life

History is coming to life this May because the St. Paul Elementary third grade class is planning on putting on their very own wax museum. Third grade teacher, Twila Wagner first got the idea for a wax museum at a Pittsburg workshop, and now has her class preparing for the second annual upcoming museum.

Combined Grade Levels Allow Band to Expand

The St. Paul School Band is very different this year. Mrs. Warstler, the band instructor, has middle school and high school students combined. There is a total of 46 students in band. The middle high has 29 students and the high school has 17.
